Education QLDÂ introduces Lenswood Primary School in Lenswood, for all your education and learning needs.
Education began 143 years ago this year in Lenswood and the school is still at the centre of the community. It is situated in the beautiful Adelaide hills and is surrounded by orchards and vineyards.
Lenswood Primary School has high expectations for its students and we offer many opportunities to develop their skills through explicit teaching, specific literacy and numeracy blocks and specialist teaching in arts, science and technology. Our students are involved in looking after the native and vegetable gardens they planted and they use the vegetables in cooking sessions. Sport is highly valued and Lenswood has had a great year winning the athletics carnival and participating in swimmings, bowls, hockey, football and netball.
We have a strong SRC and we are building our leadership program and developing programs to move students into responsible adolescence.
Lenswood has a tradition of excellent parental and community involvement in the school. Belonging is one of our values and is supported by R-7 family days and cross-age projects such as the school production which is a live report card on the work done in the Arts. The students, parents staff and wider community value the school highly.
